Demystifying Code Halos Through the Lens of IoT
IoT is primarily a network of intelligent devices and network(s) that communicate without human interaction using IP connectivity. The genesis of ‘Code Haloed Internet of Things (IoT)’ occurs when smart devices talk to each other for various needs, through a versatile Web platform over the Net, enabling informed and dynamic decision making. The ‘halo’ refers to the data that accumulates around people, devices, and organizations which is robust, powerful, and continually growing. Halos contain the ‘code’ that companies, brands, employers, and partners can use to enhance their understanding of people or objects in depth.
Code Halos through IoT combines technology, individual, and public interests that will change business models, technology focus, and customer experience affecting our daily lives.
In this Knowledge Sharing article—awarded Best of Internet of Things in the 2015 Knowledge Sharing Competition—Mohammed Hashim touches on the technological and operational aspects of Code Halos; integrating with business process models, salient efficiency drivers, and the future. The article also helps view the new digital business reality to design a roadmap for identifying newer prospects and accelerating digital transformation.
Mohammed’s article presents:
