Case Study: Data Center Refresh Project
Primary drivers for tech refreshes include cost savings, consolidation, replacing aging equipment, maintenance renewal, increasing application HA/performance, and other factors. Technology refreshes can be challenging due to overwhelming choices of technology platforms, vendor choice, and complexity.
In this Knowledge Sharing article, Jason Gates and Randall Borge present a case study that focuses on design considerations for a data center refresh project such as advanced concepts, load balancers, iSCSI, virtual port channels, and more.
The project resulted in a highly redundant data center that provides ‘five nines’ uptime and performance to sustain thousands of users accessing resources around the globe.
