XPS 8900 setup

OK, probably a stupid question. I'm confused about the drives. My C drive is apparently solid state ?? and my D drive is 2 terra bites. After installing a few games, etc. my C drive is half full, and the D drive has hardly anything on it. Did I do something wrong on the setup? I was confused when it asked where I wanted to store files. HELP!
