SCOM 2007 R2 failed to discover Dell EqualLogic Storage (MP v4.1)
Hi guys,
I imported Del server (v5) and storage (v4.1) MPs in SCOM 2007 R2, and only servers and the rack were discovered. After several days, I ran a network device discovery manually using the default snmp community string (EQL) and discovered the storage and arrays. However, they are not showing up under the Dell > State Views > EqualLogic Devices, so effectively these are no being monitored.
Please advise if there is anything I could do to try and fix this.
Thanks
Zoran

I reinstalled the package and successfully discovered te storage nodes (management cards, the main one and those of arrays). Now they showed up as okay. However, I see that only Availability is monitored on storage, but also on blade servers and the chassis. Is this all the MP does? Also, after I installed MPs for the chassis and blades, I got 2 Dell profiles in SCOM (CMC and DRACs) and created 2 accounts (basic authentication) and associated these with the profiles. But there is no profile for EqualLogic storage. Should there be one? The installation guide says: "Configure the management server action account with normal user account privileges. For more information on configuring the management
server action account, see the SCOM Online Help. " but it doesn't mention which profile to use for EqualLogic.
