Restriping of volumes after adding a new member to an EQL pool?

If you've added a new member to an existing pool, and the new member is initialized, when will EQL restripe the volumes?  Is it  immediately or does it wait for the load balancing algorithm to run? There are no pinned volumes and the group pool is automated.  The new member has been added, but there have been no volumes added to it.  Is there a more technical deep drive on the algorithm that you could suggest?
