Repurpose MD3000i to new Host PowerEdge server - maintain data
We currently have a MD3000i attached to a PowerEdge 2950 running Windows 2008 r2 - and want to detach from this server and attach to a new Dell PowerEdge R320 running Windows 2012 r2 - and maintain the data and drive configurations.
Please advise - thank you!

Hello ktheld99,
So if you move all the parts from your PE2950 to your R320 with the MD then yes all data should be in tact & accessible. Now the MD3000i was never tested to work with win 2012 but it should be seen as long as the drivers are installed for the SAS card.
