Replica set status: unmanaged
Hello,
I am replicating four 1 TB LUNs. Initial replication is completed and i started the schedule also.
every thing seems to be fine but i am seeing a warning icon 3 in inbound replica.
and the status of these replica set is unmanaged.
does anyone knows the meaning to this status?

You can use the online help:
psonlinehelp.equallogic.com/.../groupmanager.htm
Description:
Delegated space capacity on the secondary group that is no longer accessible from the primary group. This can happen when the original volume is no longer available or no longer configured for replication.
Solution:
If these replicas are no longer needed, you can delete them or permanently promote them to a volume.

Thanks joe,
I have noticed that schedule replication is happening normally for these LUNs. Anyway currently both storages are at primary site so i can do the initial replication again but i am worried if the same issue occurs after I will move the storage to DR site :emotion-8: then what could be the resolution because i cannot do initial LUN replication over 4 Mbps link.
What could be the reason for this issue?
And
how to prevent it in future?

Without a review of both of the groups diags, it’s impossible to tell exactly what caused this in your situation. The prevention would be dictated by what caused your problem. I would suggest that you open a support case so we can take a look to determine the cause.
Regarding re-created a replica once it’s at the secondary site:
If for some reason a replication gets to the point where it needs to be re-created, or if you add a large volume to the primary group that you want to replicate; the Manual Transfer Utility would be the best way to get the production data to the secondary site. MTU enable you to perform a replication operation using external media, instead of the network. Then the external media is brought to the secondary site where you use MTU to load the data onto the group as a replica.
