Replacing HBA on a 2950 connected to MD3000
We have two PE 2950's both with a single PERC5 HBA that connects to a MD3000 as part of a SQL Server Windows Cluster. Everything was running great for years until last week when one of the HBAs in the 2950 failed. We replaced the HBA with a spare that we had here, then went into Dell Modular Disk Storage Manager and did a 'Replace HBA' within the Host Group config, added the new HBA, but I still can't get the disks to show up on that server. I've tried everything I know of but still no luck. Any ideas?

Actually, Maybe it is a SAS5e. It is the same exact card as the one we replaced. We had 2 of these configurations but decommishoned one of them so we have extra cards laying around. Both the card that went bad and the one I replaced it with look like this...http://www.etb-tech.com/uploads/SAS5eAdapter.jpg

If you received a PERC5E as a replacement, that could be the cause as the PERC5E will not work with an MD3000; you need a SAS5E.
Fixing this is fairly easy in MDSM, but you may just want to call Powervault (MD3000) support and get their assistance.
