Hello Maiala,

First off whenever you replace a drive on the san you want to do it with the san up & running. The reason is that you need the replacement drive to start & complete it’s rebuild of the array. If you power off the san before the rebuild can complete and you have another failure of the drive then you could lose your data as it might not be able to rebuild the array.

Also with replacing the other 3 drives while the san was powered off could cause you to have data loss as the san will try to rebuild all the drives when the san is powered on or it may not be able to rebuild the other arrays. What I would do first it to put the 3 drives back in to the san in the exact same slots that each drive was in. Once that is done then log into Navisphere/ Usphere & check the drives & see if they are still showing as faulted. If the drives are still showing as faulted the replace the drives one at a time and wait for the rebuild to complete before replacing the remaining drives. If after all the drive have rebuilt then you will need to check your array drives to confirm you can access them & retrieve the data.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
