R610 + H800 with MD1000
I am deciding on some options for our next server which will be used as a backup server and running various VM's and such.
The plan is a R610 with a Perc H800 card and connect a MD1000 to it, that way if more storage needs arise, up to two more MD1000's can be added (two more is the limit from my understanding?). This will be with 3 or 4TB drives (not sure yet) and I'm assuming with the use of the H800, it will be 6Gbps.
Has anyone tried this setup and confirm it works? Going through the various manuals for said items, everything seems compatible, but just wanted to make sure before we spent the money?

Hello smallbizguy10,
The MD1000 are not being sold anymore but we are still selling the MD1200. Also the MD1000 doesn’t see any drive bigger than 2TB, but the MD1200 can accept the 3TB or 4TB drives.
