PS6100 load balancing

It's my understanding (please correct me if I am wrong) that the PS6100s' new load balancing feature can actually tier data across mutliple nodes in a group. If this is correct, can you load balance (or tier) data across nodes that have different drive types? For example, if I have three nodes, one has SSD, o ne has SAS and the other NL SAS, can you load balance across all three nodes?

Can you turn off load balancing if you wanted to?

Thanks

This isn't a feature specific to the new 4100/6100 units, but of firmware v5.1; and yes you can tier across units of different drive types (the performance load balancing is based upon latency scores for each array in a pool). It can also be disabled if desired by a check box.
