Performance monitoring in SC8000
We are experiencing High write latency in a SC8000 cluster, this is seen even during what seems to be a low IO activity (just a few hundred IO and low KB/s). The disk reponse time reported by EM looks good, but when looking at the FE ports the write latency is high, I am susptecting a problem with the Front-end, is there a way to look into more detail the service processor and/.or FC cards in a SC8000? (via CLI or SSH??)
i.e. at this very moment I can see write latencies of about 100ms when the port has only 80 IO/sec and 15,000 KBs) - none of the disks folders show latencies about 20 ms, latency at the backend is below 10 ms ... so I susptect the bottle neck isn't in the disk (as usual) but somewhere else.
Cheers

When it comes to write latency and performance issues in general on these Compellent systems what I recommend, would be to pull a phone home from the array and then call the Compellent Co-Pilot que at 866-397-8673. They will be able to walk you through the different steps needed to be done to resolve your issue. If you have any other questions or need help with the phone home please let me know.
