One pool and multiple members
I have a single pool that I have added a new member too. The new member has a newer
firmware version on it. Since I added the new member, I have exceeded the
required space in order to place a lower version firmware member in a maintenance
pool. Can I upgrade the other members (same pool) while in production
with little to no downtime? I am assuming its recommended to do this off hours?
Thank you

If you plan accordingly that should be possible. Depending on the array workload, doing the firmware update during off hours would make the most sense.
Review both the “Updating Storage Array Firmware” and the “iSCSI Initiator and Operating System Considerations” documents first (both available on the Firmware Download page, here is the link to the latest versions (v5.1.2): support.equallogic.com/.../download.aspx (support login required)

it depends on what firmware is running on your member. currnet version of firmware requires around 30secs for controller failover during update. i recommend to consult dell support and/or sales representative for more details.
