1. What type of interface is on MD38xxF SAS2 or SAS3?? On the MD3800f there are 4x 16G FC ports, 2x 12GB SAS in ports, & 2x 6GB SAS Expansion ports for an MD1400 if you want to attach one for extra space.
2. How many hot spares we can setup for RAID group, global and number of maximum hot spares for entire storage? You can setup as many hotspares drives as you wish. It is best practice to have at least one hotspare drive for every different drive size that you have.
3. What is maximum LUN size for MD3 storage? You can create any size LUN that you wish.
4. Can we migrate LUN online between different RAID group? Yes you can migrate LUNS online between raid groups.
5. How many numbers RAID groups can we create within entire storage? You can create as many raid groups as you want as the only limit is the amount of space that you have.
6. How many numbers of LUNs can we create within entire storage? You can have a max of 512 luns for the entire storage.
