MD3000i Issue- Both controllers Down
Hi All,
We have a very poorly MD3000i, it was shutdown for a maintenance cycle and now both controllers won't start up and appear to be rebooting themselves. We have tried the followoing.
1. Restarting with just one controller in, tried both by themselves in slots 0 and 1 but no Joy.
2. Restarting with just one raid set installed and have alternate the raid set installed, no joy.
3. Booting with no disks installed, nothing.
We can ping the management interfaces, but MDSM will not load up to see the array. The ISCSI ports are unable to be pinged at all.
We can get another controller, but no one knows it's IP address, and we have no serial cable to log into the back of it. Any ideas on resolving this would be fantastic, pinouts would be good, or a reset that doesn't involve console even better.
Many Thanks

Hello RichardTea,
So one last thing that you can try is to remove the raid battery from the controller for about 5 minutes & then insert it again & try to boot the controller & see if it will come up. If the controller will still not come online then you will need to get the serial cable for the MD3000i as we will need to see the boot of the controller to see why the controller is not booting all the way correctly.
