LTO5-140HH External
Currently in the process of setting one of these up in our environment just have a quick question.
The Ethernet Port on the back of the Unit.... what is this used for? Noted in the user guide that this is not for iSCSI
Would there be any reason why this needs to be connected to our Ethernet network and if so how does one go about setting up a static IP address on it.
Thanks in advanced.

Hello CyberMaxX360,
The ethernet port on the LTO5 is a maintance port for the unit to pull drive logs from that IBM uses. Dell didn’t license this feature from IBM so the port is there but has no function but we use a different program to get the logs from the drive & that program is ITDT (IBM. Tape Diagnostics Tool).
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
