leveraging APIs to get Dell Compellent SC7020 to take replay so we can replicate an ASE DB running in Linux with transactional consistency
The title of the subject says it all. I need help in creating a script that I can set up as a chron job on the DB server so that we can do the following:
1. freeze and quiesce the ASE DB (our DBs know how to do this via the native tools within ASE)
2. Send an API request to the SC7020 so that a replay can be taken, then send acknlowdgement back to the server
3. Thaw the processes on the server and resume IO
I am looking for an API guide, or even better some expertise in this area, perhaps someone has already created a script to talk to the SC7020 they can share..
Uncertainties around this include not finding an API guide and not knowing whether this script will talk to DSM or directly to the SC7020 controllers..
Please assist.
Thanks
