Latest version of MDSM

Hello,

I'm just upgrading to the latest version of the MDSM config utility (having uninstalled the old version I was using) - I've followed the prompts through leaving my existing IP management / iSCSI interface IPs as they should be and have arrived at the 'Apply and finish' prompt.....can anybody advise if it will now connect to my already configured array or if it will try to overwrite my existing settings (even if they are the same)? I was hoping that it would just connect to my array and read it's existing config rather than suggesting that it might be making changes!

Thanks in advance

Your asking if you have to add your arrays again or not?     Hmm,  I honestly don't remember.  Should be easy to add them back though.   Your snaps and VDC's will be there,  pretty darn sure on that one.

The Modular Disk Configuration Utility has two functions - 1. configuring the target array interfaces, and 2, configuring the host and establishing iSCSI sessions to the array.   Your post indicates you have done the first function but not the second.  The second function will connect to your already configured array such that you can access the storage and any existing or newly created volumes.

For the situation where an existing configuration exists the first function need not be executed.  However ensure that your hosts and VD assignments to those hosts are made in the MD Storage Manager.
