IP address scheme for Multiple MD3220i on same SAN network
Hi, I have 3 hosts with 12 NIC's each (8 SAN and 4 LAN) and 1 MD3220i, separate switches No VLAN. 2 iscsi switches. I just added another MD and wanted to know the best way to configure IP
Currently the MD has
10.10.6.101 / 10.10.7.101 / 10.10.8.10 / 10.10.9.101 for controller 1 and ...102's for controller 2
Each port on the hosts is also configured similarly e.g. 10.10.6.211 / 7.211 / 8.211 and so on which leads to 4 Active IO and 4 Standby paths in esxi4.1
How should I number the new SAN? Use the same subnets? e.g 10.10.6.105 / 7.105 / 8. 105 / 9.105 for controller 1 and 10.10.6.106 / 7.106.....for controller 2
don't know if this matters but the hosts are mix of esxi and win-server 2012 since we are moving to hyper-v.
