How to present four SAN volumes to Broadcom 5720 dual-port NICs?
I have just bought a Dell PowerEdge R520 with three Broadcom 5720 Dual-Port NICs. I am planning to boot Windows Server 2008 directly from a EqualLogic PS140E SAN and want to create four SAN volumes that correspond directly to four NTFS volumes. I just have a single Dell PowerConnect 5424 switch.
Would it be recommended to have one NIC connection for each SAN volume or is there another preferred method?

Hi Don. Thanks very much for your answer. I am beginning to think that setting up the OS on the single disk that I have will be the best option. I may also install SQL on the disk and then have my SQL databases and data vaults split on two SAN volumes.
I have got the 5424 already configured as you suggested for an existing server that boots from the SAN.
I only have the one 5424 switch, so full redundancy will not be possible, but can I still configure MPIO for just NIC redundancy?
