Equallogic VMware 5.1 SRM 5.1 Questions

I have implemented vSphere 5.1, SRM 5.1 using array based replication with EQL SRA replication adapter with everything controlled by the EQL VSM.  My question, after doing a failover to recovery site, and failback to protected site there seems to be some things that are not cleaned up in regards to the storage array.  After the failback, all existing replication actions are still retained and visible in the EQL group manager.  Also, old snapshots (the ones created during a failover) are also kept.  I assume the old replication actions are kept because the replication schedule created within the VSM has to be deleted and recreated after a failback to primary site, but that still begs the question...are these old replicas still needed.  Are the snapshots still needed?  I could probably show some kind of example if anybody needs to see it.  I am quite happy with EQL integration with SRM, but these 2 things bother me as I can not find an answer as to why they linger.

Any help appreciated.
