EqualLogic PS4110E
Hi,
We are looking at purchasing a couple of Equalogic PS4110E units and replicating our virtual machines between them,
With this in mind I have a couple of questions: -
1. When replicating storage groups between units are we going to get "good" backups of the virtual machines contained within the storage group? i.e. these could be file servers, Exchange servers or SQL servers. Or is it recommended to make use of the host intergration tools?
2. Can you do realtime replication or does it have to be scheduled?
Thanks
Lee

Don,
Thanks for your reply.
So to be able to easily recover indiviidual files or mailboxes we would be better having file servers/exchange etc accessing the storage via iscsi rather than just having a vmdk file sat on the storage.
Thanks

Don,
We're running Exchange 2003 so I guess the tools are no good for us on that score.
Thanks for all your help.
