Equallogic HIT KIT ME 4.7
Hi,
in December 2013 i talked with the EQL ProSupport about the release date of the HIT KIT ME 4.7. He told me that the HIT Kit will be released in January 2014. I really need the announced Win 2012 R2 support.
Are there any conclusions about the release date? at least the epa?
Cheers

That's pretty crummy. HIT 4.6 doesn't even work correctly on Win2012 - it doesn't delete the DPM snapshots and I have to manually offline them and delete them every day. Sure would be nice to have that functionality sooner rather than later.

7.0.x does NOT help.
I've tried 7.0.0 epa 7.0.1 and now 7.0.2 Still does not delete it.
The EQL will not purge the snap as it shows online. The root issue is the HIT kit does not offline the snap (like it is supposed to) after DPM completed the backup. There is a 12 page Microsoft forum on this issue.
It would be nice if folks like myself that raise these issues with Dell tech could be kept on a list and give a change to try beta/EPA to see if it resolves issues. Because all I got from Dellw as to run software VSS and serialize backups. Why buy a nice EQL SAN if I can' tuse all the goodies that come with it?

Don I've been subscribed for beta for 2 years - never get anything in regards to 4.7 - which is sad because that is the kit I need the most. 4.7 was due in January but been pushed back (sadly)

Actually, I am running 4.6.100 Early Access (I checked the version). With PS Array 7.0.2 I still get issues where the snap is not put offline after DPM completes a backup.
Do i escalate this to the regular EQL team or is there a beta team that I need to raise this with?

I was told 4.6.1 is what 4.7 will be. Was I misled by EQL Support? This is the download I was given:
