DR4000 to DR4000 Replication
Hi Guys Please could you have a look at this issue/config: On a daily basis VEEAM backs up to our DR4000 (#1) and then we replicate it to our other DR4000 (#2). The problem is that it looks like when the replication is taking place the data is being un-compressed out of DR4000(#1) to be re-compressed to go into DR4000(#2) Our current config is as follows: Marker Type - Auto Connection Type - NAS(NFS,CIFS) NFS Access Path: IP:/containers/Veeam Use NFS to Backup UNIX or LINUX Clients - Enabled Client Acess: Enabled NFS Option: RW Maps to Root - Root CIFS Share Path - \\IP\Veeam Use CIFS to backup MS Windows Clients - Enabled Client Access: Enabled Any help/pointers would be appreciated. Thanks Andrew

Hello Andrew wright,
That is normal for it to uncompress the data & then recompress the data again. The only way that I have seen it where it doesn’t do it is that you will need to get an OST plugin for Veem backup if there is one that is provided and that will make it so that it won’t need to uncompress & recompress the data.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
