Dell Equallogic PS6000X

What is the best practice for:

1. Thin Provisioning. From the Xenserver host side or the Shared storage side.

2.The best storage type between software iscsi and storage link? can someone help me understand the differences and which one amongst the two works well with dell equallogic ps 6000x.

3.What is the best approach to creating SR's. is it better to have one huge pool wide SR or several SR's.

4. What is the best performance testing tool out there? i am using netperf and i am looking for a guide on how best to translate the results. i am getting an average of 934 as throughput under 10^6bits per second.

Peromance vm really does not show  me anything to be comfortable with.everytime i try it i get totally varying results and errors.

Will most appreciate an explanation to all the above.
