"Automation and Integration with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1 and Dell EqualLogic Storage"
Hi,
I'm trying to enable rapid provisioning through VMM from an EqualLogic PS4110XS by following the instructions in the white paper "Automation and Integration with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1 and Dell EqualLogic Storage" from here
http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/extras/m/white_papers/20437936/download
and I've hit a snag.
I've successfully created the EqualLogic template volume with the gold image on it and shared it on an existing library server - I've then added the library share and it's appeared in the VMM library along with the VHDX - however the 'SAN Copy Capable' flag is set to "No"!!
The only difference between the example in the document and what I have done is that my file share is on a failover cluster (A share on a clustered file server resource).
Can anyone give me any pointers as to why the 'SAN Copy Capable' flag is wrong?
Thanks,
Mark.

On doing some more digging it appears that VMM doesn't think that the cluster nodes the library file share is on are managed by VMM
But they ARE being managed by VMM - here's the cluster in the fabric view
any ideas? I'm posting this on the MS forums too.
Thanks,
Mark.
