VMware Stretch/Metro clustering with Equallogic
We have the network infrastructure to implement VMware Metro/Stretch clustering between two sites and trying to gather information on how to do this with the storage we currently have. We were lead to believe that this was only possible with VSAN, but information that states otherwise.
Has anyone implemented this with their equallogics?

Do you have any documentation you could share?
I found this article and video on the subject.

vMSC is not support for using with PS. Its supportet with SC (Compellent).
Check out http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=san
But in real live a SyncReplication with a "streched" ESXi Cluster on Top works fine if you knew the drawbacks. There is no automatic failover for example ... but i can live with that. We use DRS Groups to recieve "local reads".
About vSAN. Support for vMSC comes late and the first supportet comes with many drawbacks as well. For example there was no support for Ereasure Encoding so just RAID1 on the "sites" which means a lot of space consumption compared to other solutions. But vSAN 6.6 comes with some improvement for vMSC.

Be carefull when reading/watchings things from 2015.

Ah... and think about licensing because vMSC for vSAN comes with vSAN Enterprise:

I can check if there are some usefull infos in VMware Partner Central.
