Server 2019 and HIT Kit
We are hoping to get more details on when DELL will be releasing its update for the HIT Kit for Windows that supports Microsoft Server 2019. Server 2019 has been out since October of 2018 and we have a project that requires us to use the latest Server version for its Hyper-V platform.
I did make a call to Dell and got at least some information that the update won't be out until February of 2020. This is ridiculous. How in the world does it take a year and a half to update this software?
Is there any official word from Dell that we can get or has anyone had any luck with 5.1 on Server 2019 in a cluster?

Hello,
HIT/ME v5.1 does not work on Server 2019. What specific feature of HIT/ME are you looking for? Even if it worked if you called support for a problem relating to the array, that would have to be removed for triage.
The HIT kit is not required for connectivity.

Don

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know I don't necessarily need the HIT Kit. However, we use the ASM and use it to optimize MPIO to tweak as much performance and stability as possible. The rant was due to frustration at companies (in this case, DELL) for waiting so long to provide updated OS support.
