Running "pool select default show" takes about 20s with around 70 volumes - is this "normal"?

We are using the OpenStack Mitaka Cinder driver for EqualLogic to provide our test system with a variety of storage volumes.

The driver (according to logs) repeatedly issues calls to "pool select default show" that take (at best) around 20s each to complete - considerably longer on a busy system.  Because of these delays, there is contention on the restricted number of SSH CLI sessions to the EQL.

My question here is whether that is a reasonable length of time for this command or whether there is an underlying performance issue with our system.  

I have attached the full output of the command from a console session below which contains system config details, status and volume.  The dynamic volumes being deleted/created are in the range of 20GB - 200GB.  The large 1+TB volumes are long-living.

Any thoughts on this would be really appreciated.  Thanks.
