PS6210x - Battery Approaching End of Life

    • [ID: 3.18] Warning: Member XX-XXXXX Battery Approaching End of Life
      • Warning: Member XX-XXXXX The member's battery is approaching the expected end of life.

Hi, We had this pop up on all 4 of our units bought at the same time.  I presume this is a timed message rather than a monitor that actually checks the cache voltage health?  I'm just wondering if there's any urgency, as the units in question are spread around and it might take a while to get them all fixed.

We've had some older PS6110 capacitors replaced previously, they gave no such error and just died.  Is this the same process (a capacitor board) or a whole new controller swap?

We are in warranty and i'll ring them later.

Thanks

Hello,

You are very welcome.  That is correct they are actually batteries..  They will be replacing the controllers not just batteries.

Hello,

This is different from the capacitors and you should get them replaced soon.

Thanks Don,

So are there actual batteries in these units?

Hello,

A correction, most likely they will be replacing the batteries only, not the controller and batteries.

They are not on a 'timer' so to speak.  The life cycle of the batteries are affected by environmental conditions.

 Regards,

Don
