PS6210E Critical "The service life of the control module battery is depleted
Hello, I have a client that erroneously still has the Equalogic (PS610E GROUP FIRMWARE V 7.0.9 (R400081) without guarantee and the alarm that I had from Warning happened to Critical with the matter that I put. What I want to know is the real time that it can carry that directly does not turn on which would be chaotic.
I await your comments.
Regards
THANKS

Hello,
You won't be able to buy batteries or controllers from Dell since the array is not covered by a support contract. You will need to find a replacement from a vendor other than Dell.

Hello,
I also wanted to add that you might be able to get it back under contract since the 6210 is the last generation and not over 7 years since ship date. This would allow you to buy new batteries and gain access to the current firmware. That array firmware is quite old. v10.0.3 is the current version and has many important fixes. Also drive firmware has been released as well that could be applicable to that array as well.
Regards,
Don

Hello,
If that controller is the passive then failover will not occur if the primary should fail. The battery or controller must be replaced.
