Problem with Auto-Snapshot manager after domain change

Hi,

I have a customer with a Hyper-v FailoverCluster and CSV's.

They recently changed their internal domain name, and since then they are haveing trouble connecting to the PS-Group in Auto-snapshot manager.

I get an error saying:

An error occured processing action: Discovering.
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction:)

I don't suspect that your iSCSI initiator is having trouble connecting to the volumes - and that your problem is, in fact, isolated to ASM/ME.  Check the RUNAS account used on the ASM services to ensure they are using the proper domain credentials.

Under VSS/VDS tab, there is only one entry, and that is chap, *, *

I did however find an entry in the system log with event ID 10016 from DistributedCOM saying:

The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

{5EA28B12-3213-4BEE-8CDD-B6F935260ABA}

and APPID

{2E44CC27-382F-48EF-BFBC-EFCEF2800F2A}

to the user "Old-domain"\Administrator SID (S-1-5-21-4270513596-2590773146-1900839612-500) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

The "Old-domain" is of course the old domain. I have changed the logon credentials for the EQL-VSS service, which the appid points to, so that the right user from the new domain has the proper rights to start the service. And the service is running.

I think maybe i need a server restart to recycle the dcom service. I will try this, and let you know.
