offline (missing pages)
Around 07:30 this morning we had a lun on a tiered system go offline due to missing pages. Other luns are still online, we have 10 snapshots of this offline lun. I'm worried that our san may be having issues (like deterioration due to age) but we have no other error or alerting messages (other than the failed lun)
The SAN is comprised of a PS6510 and PS6110XV version 7.2.1
Thank you in advance.

Hi Donald,
No hardware error messages were received prior to the event, I understand that this is caused by a multi tiered storage passing data between the two storage systems during an autotiering operation. Would being on v 7.1.2 be a problem with this.
I don't have support, so I can't call into dell.
System was running fine before, I can't understand why dell has to hide their firmware updates from folks out of service period. If a firmware issue was the cause of my problem, then I should be able to update to the version that fixes my issue, How can I be left out in the cold like that with 4x PS6510 2x PS6110XS and and 1 PS6110S.

Missing pages 15Mb size can be added manualy with third party software by data recovery professional companies who know how.
For example we do next (this is only for data recovery purposes in order bring back lost volumes)
Creating virtual array based on disks only, assembling blocks/pages 15Mb size like a puzzle based on EQL metadata , adding or removing manually lost pages. This way access to the volume is possible to archive.
