latest supported Firmware for Equal Logic PS4210

Hi,

What is the latest supported Firmware for Equal Logic PS4210?

Would I need a valid warranty for firmware download and upgrade?

Hello, The latest version is 10.0.3. However, you cannot download it without a valid service contract or the first year warranty. The license to use the firmware and other bundled software is maintained in the service contract. Regards, Don

10.0.3 is latest version of highest level feature released 9.1.9 is the latest version of the previous feature release which was also released at the same time. Very minor updates. The most important issue is likely just the support for newest Oracle Java. You need a valid support contract to download new firmware updates from https://eqlsupport.dell.com/secure/login.aspx Latest PS firmware Date Released Juily 2019 You must be on version 9.1.x or earlier 10.0 version to upgrade to this release. If you are on older firmware you should use the storage update manager to perform the intermediate upgrade steps for you. Generally you must upgrade from one major version to the subsequent major version you cannot do a direct upgrade to the latest version from a much older release. Issues Corrected in Version 10.0.3 This version of PS Series firmware includes all fixed issues that were incorporated into earlier releases. Replication • Cross-platform replications from a Storage Center system with Chelsio T3 iSCSI HBAs to a PS Series array stop approximately every six to eight weeks. • Issues with Cluster Interprocess Communication (CIPC) might prevent the replication of a volume from a Storage Center system to a PS Series array. User Interface • If the Secure Communication option is enabled, users are unable to establish a connection to the Group Manager GUI after updating to Java 8 build 201. Volumes • The ocps daemon running on PS Series arrays only supports anonymous Diffie-Hellman for key exchange. • The raidview command mistakenly suggests using the depreciated raidtool -P to correct a lost RAID cache condition. • The diskhealth -e month calculation is incorrect for drives with a manufacturing week that is not a multiple of four. Other • Updated the time zone data with the latest information from the IANA Time Zone Database. • Made changes to the CLDdiag.sh script to make it more useful to technical support. Issues Corrected in Version 9.1.9 This version of PS Series firmware includes all the fixed issues that were incorporated into earlier releases.
