Integration with both PS in a site DR
Hello all,
I'd like to know if you guys could help me on it.
I have a scenario, where I will add a PS 4100 to my site DR. In my site DR, I have a PS as well and I'd like to make an integration.
The purpose of the integration is that I bought a Dell EMC SCv3020, created a new SAN and now I have it as my production environment. Before the acquisition, I was with PS 4100 in this position.
Could you guys tell me what the best practices to make this integration? Will I have to make a new discovery to found the PS 4100? What information will I need to make a health integration? Will it be necessary to erase the PS 4100 old configuration before make this integration? What requirements will I have to complete to make a successful integration?
I'd be very delightful if you guys could take out this doubts.
Have a wonderful day.

Hello,
That is very easy to do. It is part of the design of PS storage arrays. You can easily add more members.
What is the firmware on the array at DR now and the one you are adding?
If they are close you can run setup on the new 4100, and you will specify the Group IP address of the existing group. It will then ask you for the MEMBERSHIP password. This maybe the same as the GRPADMIN password it depends on who set it up. Once you add it to the group, you can manage it now from the same GUI. Configure the other network ports, set the RAID policy and so forth. it will inherit the group information automatically.
Once you have it in the group, you want to make sure you upgrade them both to EQL firmware 10.0.2 if you plan on using replication with the SC array. Which is a key benefit to SC and PS storage.
The SC array should be upgraded to current revision as well.

Don
