How to activate the LED light of the failed disk?
Hi All,
we have dell Equal logic box its out of warranty. I am remotely supporting this box. I need to guide datacenter folks to replace the failed hard disk.
Any one please tell me Q) how to activate the LED light of the failed disk? same like "netapp".
I have noticed that BUI under members there is "Flash LED Lights option" Actually what is the use of this option? if I start the LED lights they can recognize the failed disk ?
Please help on this request..
Thanks,
RT

Yes, I see it disk information below. Look like Data center folks checking in different member2. They are telling all lights are showing green state. I have shared the details of member1. lets come back with there findings.
Then what is purpose of Flashing ALL LED lights?? can you guide me please. I am new to this. If disk is failed it will show orange light?
Thanks,
RT

I always use the Disk tab rather than the status of a member because its easier to read/understand. Print this or send it as a screenshot to the data center guys.
