How can i switch active controller on a 'reset' array
Hi,
last week i received a new PS4100 that was on an older firmware level than my existing group, so i had to install it into it's own group first to be able to upgrade the firmware. So i connected everything, even a serial cable to CM0 and left the datacenter. Remotely i did initial setup and eventually updated the firmware.
Than i could issue a reset command so i could do the initial setup and join it to the existing group.
BUT: after the reset, apparantly it booted into CM1 so now i can't perform any magic to it. If i log into CM0 it says it is not the active controller and i can't perfom any commands.
So how should i have done this? and how can i setup the machine. (please don't tell me to go to the datacenter to switch the console cable... I would think of that as a rather stupid approach!)

I did some reading yesterday and also came across the RSW! some of the servers in the network already have the HIT kit, so they have the RSW installed.
I used the RSW to install the PS4100 but i couldn't get it to join the existing group somehow. (maybe because the group uses separate mgmt network?
So i installed it as a new group, switched over the controller, and reset the config via the consolecable and did an install again from console and from there the join to the existing group succeeded.

No, the servers that have the HIT running are not on the mgmt network. they are on the dedicated iSCSI network. So maybe that was the issue.
