Firmwares question

We are still on v7 FW. The arrays only have 18 more months until EOL. I see no reason to update to v8 or v9, as the new features add no value.  Its been a while since there were any v7 updates, so I wondering if that's because v7 is really stable now with no critical updates, or do I have to go to v9 for any latest fixes?

Should I have to read the v8 and v9 change logs, or can I just track v7?

Hi Don, I know its your job to get everyone on the latest firmwares :)

The last 7.1.14 update seems to match the 8.1.6 update (FluidFS fix) so if I track updates post 8.1.6 from now on, I can see if something comes up that needs attention.

We have 4hr Pro Support with SupportAssist enabled, so Dell actually track what our config is. Would I get informed if a critical flaw was discovered in our current FW?

Like he said... if it ain't broke...
