Erroneous error message for snapshots

Hi. We have a PS6210xs and 6000 grouped together running FW 7.1.9. This morning, I got the "fewer than expected snapshots" message for 7 volumes, but all of them have the proper number of snapshots. All of the volumes are iscsi data volumes that are connected to Windows server VMs.

6 of the volumes are hosted by the same Windows VM, and the snapshot error for each one claimed that there were 0 snapshots available (and to reiterate, the snapshots actually are there). Seems like a pretty large coincidence, but to complicate the pattern, that same VM hosts several other volumes that did not get errors for their snapshots.

I have around 100 volumes that are getting snapshotted at the same time. Maybe SAN HQ just blipped for a few microseconds while it was running through the snapshot check? Should I stagger snapshot times some?

Thanks.

Are you seeing the 'fewer than expected snapshots' message in SANHQ?  Does the same message appear in Group Manager's alerts/notifications?

Definitely in San HQ. I'll have to check Grp Mgr.

OK. I have a few collections related to the Windows terminal server hosting a set of volumes, but mostly individual. I'll stagger some of the times.

Thanks.
