Equallogic ps6210 HDD replacement issue
After replacing HDD in Equallogic Ps 6210, new HDD is showing as a hot spare.
The machine has already one more hot spare.
how can we convert the status of HDD from hot spare to ready ???

Hello,
What RAID level are you using? RAID50, and RAID10 always have two spares. RAID6 has one because of the double parity.
The only options on some RAID levels is NO spares but I do not recommend that!! There is no way to designate the number of spares.
