EqualLogic PS6100 Control Module 11
Good afternoon.
I have a Dell EqualLogic PS6100.
When starting, it works for a few minutes but it crashes and I lose access to managing it. I believe it's a flaw in Control Module 11.
I have another Storage of the same model that is not in production. What is the procedure for replacing this Control Module 11? Can I just take it out of one and put it in the other?

Hello,
Doesn't that 6100 have two control modules? If the one you suspect is bad is the active you can fail it over to the other.
Re: Replacement. You need to take the SD card from the old/bad CM and install it in the replacement. If you only have one controller you will need to shutdown first.

I replaced the module, changing the SD card. The management network interface goes up, but the interfaces on which hosts communicate do not go up.
And I can't access the GUI by the IP of the management interface.

You also might want to try putting the old CM and SD card back into the array and see if it boots up.
How did you shutdown the array before swapping the controllers? If you did not properly shutdown the array, there maybe unwritten cache in that old CM. Which would prevent the array from booting up completely due to a lost cache condition.

Hello,
It sounds like the array is not booting up completely. Can you access the CLI via the management port? If not, you will need to connect to the serial port to see what the issue is.
