i found a manual for installation of ps6000 in which they say that serial cable must be switched like: 1 and 6 to 4 , 2 to 3 , 5 to 5 , 7 to 8 , 8 to 7 , 4 to 6 and 1 , 3 to 2 do you agree?

Hi Berno,
We are having the same issue with our Equallogic PS6000 now. Can you please share the pinouts of DB9f to DB9f that you made?
Any response or suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jay-R

Hello,
Were you able to log in and get to the GrpName> prompt?
If show you can do a GrpName>show member
Then a GrpName>member select MEMBERNAME show eths
Also, it's better to create a new topic for a new issue vs. adding on to an old one.
Regards,
Don

Hello,
The GrpName should be part of the prompt you are at.
E.g. If the Group was called EQLSAN the prompt will be EQLSAN>
DRsan would be DRsan>
So at the prompt type "show member"

Don

Hello,
At the GrpName> prompt type: volume select VOLUMENAME show connections
E.g. (Volume names are case sensitive)
DRsan>volume select DATAVOLUME show connections
This will show if it's connecting to it. If not, then you need to look at the server to see why it's not connecting.
Also run:
GrpName>volume select VOLUMENAME show access
Then please reply with the output

Don

Hello,
That is because you logged in as 'root'. That's something you should NEVER do on EQL array w/o help from support.
Logout and log in as 'grpadmin'
Then you will be at the GrpName> prompt and can run commands

Don

Hello,
Thank you,. Please also run: GrpName>show member
Then try to ping that server. Run: GrpName>ping 10.100.100.21
Earlier you ran the command to show the IP addresses. Run that again and make sure your server at that IP address can ping ALL the interfaces on the array and the Group IP
GrpName>member select MEMBERNAME show eths So replace MEMBERNAME with the name of the physical array as show in the "show member" command above
If all that works you need to go to the Windows server, into the MS ISCSI control applet and see if there are any errors there.
Did someone change the network in anyway? Or change the host IP address?
Regards,
Don
