Equallogic PS4100X - Unresponsive

We have a PS4100X and today we face an equipment failure, and we were unable to access any lun by any of the configured hosts. We also didn't get any management access, that is, completely unavailable.

We performed a complete shutdown with the removal of electrical connections, we waited an interval of 30 minutes and when we reconnected the equipment, all the disks, arrays, luns presented, everything was working correctly and we went up our productive environment.

I would like to understand what happened, but in the evidence, I have only one note that I could not find in research here in the community, or even on google:

The log follows, where we can identify an interval without any occurrence. Please, can anyone point me to any reason for this behavior? Another question, does anyone know anything about this event? EVENT_NEAR_UNEXPECTED_REBOOT: Warning

Hello,

From this info it appears you did not shutdown the array first, but just removed the power. Is that correct?

Both the GUI and the CLI have a shutdown option.  Which should always be done before power off the array.

Do you know the version of the firmware it was running at the time?

Only the serial port is going to be available at this time as I suspect the power up sequence has not completed.

I suspect you do no have a support contract on this array. Depending on where you are you can purchase a one time support call and with the serial port connected they will attempt to triage the issue.

Otherwise you would likely need to reset and reconfigure the array from scratch

 Regards,

Don
