Equallogic PS 4110 physical reseat after power outage
Hello All, Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this condition and see what they did to rectify it from happening again... We're running dual PS41110's with 9.0.2 firmware in a 1000e with firmware 5.22 along with 6 M630's hosting vcenter and multiple vm's There was an unexpected power disruption to the rack which took down the entire chassis , once power was returned the 1000e as well as the M630's powered on as normal but the EQL's didn't . After various racadm commands to attempt to power on the arrays were unsuccessful as well as failed virtual reseats from the CMC we had the Arrays physical reseated which allowed them to power up as normal and restoring the service. My question is if anyone has experienced this before ? and what was done to prevent it in the future... Is this something common to the EQL's ? One would think that with the DPSE enabled on the m1000 the power consumption is balanced as evenly as possible allowing all devices to have sufficient power to function. Thx, K

Hello,
I can't say that I've seen that myself. The firmware is very old, Sept 2016 for the EQL. The 1000E firmware is older as well.
I would start by getting the E1000 and EQL revisions up to date.
Regards,
Don
