Equallogic ASM crashing on Hyper-V hosts

Hello everyone!

As the title suggests, ASM is crashing on all our Hyper-v hosts, clustered or not. Those connect to two PS6210 groups. We also have a backup server using a PS4210 with the same behaviour. On the other hand, we have two SQL servers running a PS6210 and PS4210 respectively that have zero issued. I launch ASM and i get "An error occured processing action: Discovering" followed by "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation". Another message i get borowsing menus is  "An element with the same key has already been added" which points to some kind of DB error.

We are running HTI 5.4 on Windows Server 2016 production servers and Windows Server 2019 on the backup server.

Anybody encountered such errors?

Regards

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I assume you have tried reinstalling? Can you try an older version and see if that works?

Hello Josh,

I ended up opening a case with Dell. 5.4 was working fine for a while and then stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried reinstalling but not downgrading. Weird thing is, i have standalone servers with dedicated PS4210 connected to them that share the same problem as our Hyper-V hosts.

Regards

Hello Jeff,

Do you have any snapshot space allocated in those groups that are failing but DO have space allocated in the ones that do work?   How much free space do you have in these groups?

 Regards,

Don
