EQL / VSM / MEM / vSphere Upgrade Order
Hello,
I now see that EQL v8, MEM 1.3 and VSM 4.5 have been released as EPA so I can upgrade to vSphere 6!
Is there a recommended upgrade order for all of these components? I would imagine EQL v8 first, then the vSphere environment, then MEM, then VSM?
I believe I read MEM 1.2 wasn't compatible with vSphere 6? If thats the case, I would imagine I have to switch to RR before upgrading vSphere and then apply MEM 1.3?
Thanks in advance!

I had success with:
Upgrade Array Firmware
Upgrade vCenter
Upgrading the MEM to 1.3 on ESXi 5.5
Upgrade VSM - confirm it works in web interface
Upgrade hosts to ESXi 6

Hi Evan,
Today I downloaded the MEM 1.3 package from the eqlsupport.dell.com website. The zip file contains two other zip files. One for ESXi 5.5 and one for ESXi 6.0. I think you may be using the incorrect MEM package and might need to re-install it. I am assuming that the ESXi5 version installed when you upgraded to MEM 1.3 unless you used the 6.0 version on 5.5 and it worked.
Regards

BriFar,
I installed MEM 1.3 for ESXi 5.5 first, and post upgrade to ESXi 6, did not need to re-install the ESXi 6 version. I can confirm that the Dell MEM package is working properly.

Hi,
it would make sense to me to upgrade first the VSM and then the vCenter.
Since only the 4.5 VSM supports vCenter 6.
Is not the order you suggested a bit "not supported"?
