EQL PS6100XS controller problem
Hello,
we have an PS6100 dual controller setup with failed C2F module. I have tried low-battery-safe disable command to disable the failback policy for wrtie-cache. The environment now has a fatal write latency becaue i cannot deactivate the policy. I always get:
% Error - Cannot set the low-battery-safe policy on this array model.
I think that is because its a hybrid array. But is there any other solution to fix my problems soon. We cannot wait for the new controller. Its a very busy environment and the other C2F (which is on the active controller still works!!!)
Is there only the solution to unplug the entire controler module?

Ok - what will happen if the new controller has a newer or older FW? Will the new controller downgrade itself automaticlly?

Ah ok - thx ... i thought only the settings are stored on the sd card and not the whole FW!

Dell has send us a controller with another ID ... the ID of this one is: 07V250 but the controller with the defect batteries has is 07-0400. Is it possible that 07v250 is for the normal PS6100 and NOT for PS6100XS (with Accelerated Raid an SSD) ?!?
