EQL PS4100 replication to secondary site
hi all,
we need to setup EQL replication to a DR site. It will probably be 1x or 2x PS4100; or 1x PS4100 and 1x PS6100 on each site.
Few Qs for the experts:
1) The data from the primary site will traverse the network from a 10Gb switch through 2x sets of firewalls and switches on a 1Gb backbone network. The secondary site will also have 2x sets of firewalls and 1Gb backbone. By reading Dell's documentation I understand that we need ICMP and 3260 open across the WAN.
Are there any sort of issues of the data moving from MTU 9000 to MTU 1500 through the network? Any sort of impact?
2) Thinking of setting up the initial seed on site, i.e., configuring the replica EQL box on the same network and replicate the volumes. Once initial seed has been completed, move the EQL box to secondary site and re-configure the replication to point to the new IP address and sync the Deltas? Is this the best way? or should I use the Manual Transfer Utility provided by Dell? or else?
Comments are much appreciated.

Thanks don
We have replicated for a week, pause the replication and promoted the replicas to vols. Then took the SAN to DR site for testing.....
Next week it will be for real.....
Thanks

don,
You are correct. Basically this was a one-off DR test and we will de-commission the PS-4000.
We will receive a PS-6X00 SAN and start the first seed on-site again; move SAN to DR and resume replication.
