Hello,

Enclosure Management service are not available error on PS 6100 SAN (EMM Link Failure)

Getting the above error out of the blue from one of our SANS?

Can anyone tell me the cause of this, or how to correct it?

All lights is green on storage.

Hello,

What version of EQL firmware is that array using?

My first thought would be try to failover to the other controller. However, if the firmware is older, and been up for a long time I have something I suggest you do first.   Connect to the PASSIVE controller via the serial port.  Restart that PASSIVE controller.  At that CLI> prompt  do 'restart'   CLI>restart  If you see the GrpName> prompt you are on the active CM.   After the restart finishes wait for the passive to re-sync with the primary.  Then you can connect to the PRIMARY controller and restart it.   If the message clears then try to fail BACK to the original primary.  If the error returns that 1st controller should be replaced.  If not, you are very likely fine.

 Regards,
