Dell Powerdge R640 Serial Connection

Hi All

I am looking for the pin outs for the Dell R640 Console connectivity and hoping you can all help with this for me

Hello,

 

It is a Serial Null modem DB9 cable

Connect the Null Modem DB9 cable from the management station’s serial port to the managed system’s external serial connector.

Should be a standard crossover, or null modem, cable.

Hi

I will still need the db9 pinout to RG45 connector for this cable please if you have them or a part number for the actual console cable to rg45

Hi,

As Charles mentioned above a standard crossover, or null modem, cable would useful. I found below part number on technical site you can check it that:

ASSY,CBL,I/O,CNSL,DB9-RJ45

That all works good for the DELL R640 and my final question is does the DELL R650 have a console option

@DELL-Erman O​ Perfect seems they didnt realise this Console port was an optional extra on the R650's and didnt order them, thanks for the information
